Talaash: The Answer Lies Within is a 2012 Indian neo-noir mystery film directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions.
The movie stars Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vivan Bhatena, Shernaz Patel and Raj Kumar Yadav in supporting roles. The soundtrack of the movie is scored by Ram Sampath, with lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar. Principal photography of the film occurred during March--November 2011 taking place primarily in Mumbai, Pondicherry and London.
The movie received a UA certificate from the Censor Board of India. The movie released on 30 November 2012. Box Office India declared Talaash a "semi hit" grosser in India and "super hit" in overseas. It eventually grossed 174 crore (US$31.67 million) worldwide.
